3. Does your website convert visitors to leads, leads to sales?

A website must in some way convert the traffic it receives into useful data that you can later use to grow your business and generate sales.  The most common way to do this is to set-up a free offering which your target market cannot be without.

A common mistake is just putting up a “sign-up for our newsletter” button.  Chances are, no one really wants you to waste their time with your newsletter, unless they are getting something up front in return.  So, to get around this, you should be looking into writing a book, a booklet, or an e-manual which you give away for the exchange.  This way, you are giving your potential customers something tangible.  You are building value on both sides.

Build your database! We live in the “Information Age!” Information is king since information usually equals cash, and CASH is KING.  How you utilize the information on hand is also very important.
